Stacey Solomon Tops 888 Ladies Bingo Survey
888 Ladies Bingo recently conducted an X Factor Survey and the results are now in. They showed that Dagenham’s Stacey Solomon has emerged as the front runner to follow in the footsteps of Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke by winning ITV1’s X Factor. As we know the phone votes are kept top secret by X Factor bosses, so their survey only provides an indication that it’s Stacey who will be the woman to beat when the winner is announced live on air on Sunday 13th December.
888sport, sister company to 888 Ladies Bingo currently have Stacey, at 5/2 to win the show with, made up a massive 36% of those surveyed with fellow Essex resident, Olly Murs, edged into second with 28%. However, the results make worrying reading for youngster Lloyd Daniels and the controversial ‘Jedward’ – the acts struggling to 1% and 6% of the vote respectively.
Sitting in the middle of the pack and hoping for a change of fortunes are former bookies favourite, Danyl Johnson (7%), and Chery Cole’s Geordie protégé, Joe McElderry (20%).
The contestants were not the only ones assessed by 888 Ladies Bingo as they also took at look at just how the X Factor Judges are fairing in the popularity stakes. The results were as follows – Cheryl Cole’s popularity still showed no sign of fading with 43% of voters naming her as their favourite judge ahead of Simon Cowell (35%). Dannii Minogue’s stock continues to rise with 13% of those polled naming her ‘best judge’ but the popularity of Louis (7%) seems to have suffered following his on-screen tiff with Dermot O’Leary two weeks ago.
888ladies.com spokesperson, Ed Nicholson, commented: “Stacey’s girl next door attitude has captured the hearts of the nation. She’s the best thing to happen to Essex since Faces night club announced a happy hour extension. Whether it’s bobbies or builders, everyone is talking about the darling from Dagenham.”
Nicholson, added: “We obviously don’t know the results of the phone votes and, although our poll has Stacey leading the way at the moment, fans are more fickle than Simon Cowell so there’s a long way to go yet!”
888 Ladies Bingo have stated that they will continue to survey its online bingo community on a weekly basis in the run up to the X Factor Live finals…………so it will be interesting to see if the votes cast by their bingo players paint a true picture of the voting public as a whole.
