Variations to Bingo Lingo

The game of bingo has long been a tradition here in the UK and we are not just talking about the land based halls. Although many of you will immediately think of a hall when you hear the word, playing at internet bingo sites is just as favourable these days. Where ever bingo is played almost every game has Lingo and when we use the term lingo, we are talking about the names used for numbers that are called and there are some variations to Bingo Lingo.

The Lingo is what every single game has in common, whether it is online or anywhere else and it is possible that player enjoys this as much as the game itself. However, one internet bingo site that springs to mind that uses different Lingo to what most of us are familiar with is 888 Ladies, although there are others.

It seems that widespread change could be imminent where Bingo Lingo is concerned with bingo fans in Halifax being asked to give their ideas for the numbers that are called. It is hoped that a full set of 90 calls will be ready for late October when a special party night will be hosted in Halifax.

Many people will still prefer the old Bingo Lingo but some local councils have been putting the pressure on and even banning calls such as ‘two fat ladies 88’ and have deemed them offensive. So with political correctness now making its mark, it could mean that eventually most organisations will need to follow suit to a certain degree to remain on the right side of the law.
