In the 32Red Bingo advert the farmer’s wife makes an appearance and what impresses me most about this commercial is that it doesn’t follow the usual storyboard for an online bingo advert. Whilst there are bingo balls shown it’s not in the usual fashion of them bouncing across the screen or shown on a lap top where a woman is throwing her arms about and screaming because she has won a game.

The 32Red Bingo commercial takes place in the kitchen of the farmhouse with three hens sat on wooden boxes. Rather than producing eggs the hens lay bingo balls for 32Red Bingo! Of course there is mention of the welcome bonus for new players, £10 free with no deposit required, but it isn’t the main focus of the advert.

I also love the last line in the advert spoken by the farmer’s wife – “Have you seen the size of those bingo wings?” – Class!

A winner is announced, SHE (yes, it was always going to be a woman considering the biggest demographic of online bingo players are female) walks out to be greeted by the presenter of the spoof Big Brother House (he is no Brian Dowling). She is then asked what she plans to do now she has left the house – can you guess what she says? Well done, you’re right – she says that she is off to play BIG BROTHER BINGO!

Don’t get us wrong, we’re not knocking the Big Brother Bingo advert for it’s lack of originality really, there was only really ever going to be one way that the advertising of this online bingo site could go wasn’t there?

This has started to become the norm for bingo adverts – women sitting in front of their computer screens and let’s face it seeing this over and over again in an advert isn’t going to capture people’s attention! Even though this current type of advert might be working as more people are turning to online bingo – you can’t help but want to give bingo adverts a good shake up and make them contain something new!

Playing online bingo is seen as more of a female thing to do and this advert certain plays on that. Although it does contain a few men – one of which is cutting the grass, it is marketed more towards women.

As this is Bingo Streets first advert they have aimed at predominately at new players. It states that all first time players will receive a guaranteed welcome bonus of 250% on their first deposit because this is bingo streets ‘first time buyer promise’.
